I have spent a majority of this summer doing absolutely nothing.
I “graduated” in May,I put the quotes because I walked in May, and am finishing up my last class this month online to actually get my degree. Anyways, I figured that at the time that before I graduated or shortly after I would for sure have a job. I figured I had the right amount of experience and initial contacts from last summers internship to make something happen, which probably would have been the case a year ago- but not now.
So, way in advanced, I told my old boss from the pool that I would not be coming back… mistake? Yes, it was.
So yay graduation, had a few interviews, nothing really panned out I went into a month or so of daily cover letters and some follow up calls. Landed a few more interviews some were more unpaid internships one or two were for actual jobs that I wasn’t qualified for.
Anyway, after a month of this and doing just about NOTHING my final class started online for July. Toward the end of the month I landed an Internship and started a part time job @ AMC as a server at Fork and Screen.
I have a week left of the class and after a starting both “jobs” in the same week as well as finishing up my class I have been taking in a lot of information – triggering lots of thoughts so I decided to start up this blog to unload everything.
I am mainly using this for my own purposes, but if anyone cares to read it, more power to you. I will be discussing what I’m working on what learning and how I feel about it.
I will also (likely) include posts on films or music or books just to break thing up. I like to talk about films so ya
